Hi all,
I have a few questions around the Overlay Lyrics function of the Video Editor (https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/virtualdj/editors/videoeditor.html) that I haven't found in the documentation, nor by a quick search in the forum.
1. How do you disable displaying the cover image? In many cases the background cover makes the lyrics text unreadable, because of similar colors. I would like to get a solid black background. I can achieve this by adding an Overlay Image using a fully black image file, but it would be nice to avoid this extra step. Alternatively I would be okay with adding a text border/shadow, but there is no checkbox on this window for such.
2. How to show the countdown timer for the first line of the lyric? I noticed that between gaps in lyrics a countdown timer is shown giving the remaining seconds until singing the next line, but not for the very first line. When it takes 30-60 seconds until the vocal comes in, it would be nice to have the counter there.
3. Is it possible to take the whole screen width to display text? The maximum width of the text seems to be the width of the cover image, not the width of the monitor screen. So if I make the text size large enough to span over the image width, it's get truncated, but there would be plenty of space to show it properly.
Thanks in advance.

The art cover , you must remove it from the original file , not the vdjedit
You cannot define the width of the text display , as far I know
To display the time the manual say you must type the [ , on the beginning but sometimes when you copy paste the lyrics , doesn’t work

Thanks for the hints.
This method works, indeed. However I would like to keep the cover with the original audio file (to find it quicker visually). It would be nice to somehow disable it in the vdjedit file.
I go with a smaller font size for now.
Sorry I don't understand this one. If I place an empty text in the beginning, it does not seem to do anything.
I found a workaround to display some text from the start and remove it immediately. Something like this:

[00:00.00] __
[00:01.00]
[01:12.11] This is the first line of the lyric
