I'm experimenting with a different eq setup, I found my idea isn't new.
The MODEL 1 does something very similar to what I did on my own [a few years ahead of me].
The hi eq is replaced with a LPF [inverted dial], the low eq replaced with a HPF, so they act as a shelf, mid eq stays the same but has an additional Q slider for parametric control.
Since this is all possible with vdj and ch3/4 being used as ch1/2 controls is a thing now, could alternative set ups be explored?
even full parametric [maybe needs a eq Q reset on load logic]
just an idea
or even HW emulation profiles for the SW mixer
[I might even try that last one as a virtualfx, I could make that now]
