When modifying.the Genre tags in Virtual DJ either for a single song or multiple, the Genre will be updated in the Virtual DJ DB, However this changes are not saved to the file metadata, even if the SetTagsAuto Setting is set to on
The OLD large tag editor does save the Genre to the files themselves if the SetTagsAuto setting is set to yes
So it seems like the recently added feature to edit Genre directy from the info tab is missing a step to check if it should also write the information to the file metadata, not just the Virtual DJ File
So to replicate this issue,
1.-Have a file with no genre set, and make sure that the setting SetTagsAuto is enabled
2.-Set the Genre from the info tab for one or multiple files
3.-In the OS Check the file metadata and there will be no Genre set
4.-In Virtual DJ, Select the file and open the Old TagEditor, You will see the genre set there, if you click on OK now it will Re-save the file but this time it will Write the Genre to the file
5.-In the OS check the file metadata, this time it will have a Genre
