How do I assign a keyboard shortcut for the effect active 1 for deck A? How do I make it Momentarily?

Ok I will check it out thanks. So no one can tell me simple steps on here on how it's done? I heard you have to do alot of extra stuff now on virtual dj. Someone told me it use to be a lot easier to do this kinda stuff. Why has this changed?
 
It hasn't, what worked 10+ years ago still works today.

That's a lot to read. Where's the part that explains what I'm trying to do?
It's talking about verbs and alit of extra stuff
 
deck 1 effect_active (to toggle on/off)
deck 1 effect_active while_pressed (momentary)
