I've noticed when triggering software effects from the DJM-S9 there is a small glitch in the audio on trigger, about a 1/4 of second the audio drops when you hit the paddle. This seems to be for every effect in virtualDJ not just a single one.

I've noticed and reported this too, but i think in my trials it happens for Serato too - one of the Atomix devs said it's due to the nature of how the software FX are implemented (somehow the send/return seems to glitch out), and potentially is not limited to to the S9 either. Hardware effects don't seem to have the problem though... not sure if that is a strong enough argument for the issue though ( being "the way things are").

It's because the S9 by default has the send/return fx channel disabled to reduce latency, and only enables it as soon as a software effect is activated.
If you only need pre-fader software effects you could get around it by triggering the effects from another controller or the screen instead

Interesting as I haven't noticed this phenomenon with serato.
