Topic: BUILD 7682 'Pitch Difference
"Pitch Difference' browser column"
Can someone explain to me how to use this? Examples please.

Don't believe it is a browser column.

It is available for use in filter folders, quick filters and color filters.

and instead of a BPM difference... of 5 BPM..
(which still exists and can be used)

Pitch difference is expressed in percent.. so 4 means 4% difference which may be preferable when BPMs have a large range..

IE if using BPM difference, 5 BPM could be a much bigger difference when filtering tracks at 60 BPM .. vs filtering tracks at 150 BPM

So Pitch difference allows for one to keep the same percentage difference, when choosing/filtering for tracks to play next.

it's a filter type

pitch Difference <= 4

the results you will get are [all of these]

-4% to +4% of the masterdeck bpm
-2% to +2% of 1/2 the masterdeck bpm
-8% to +8% of 2* the masterdeck bpm

it's like bpm difference but pitch focus

Here is an example of color filters. does it make sense?

Oh yes and what Locodog mentioned..

BPM difference 4
will only filter for tracks 96-104 if the loaded track is 100 BPM

while
Pitch difference 4
will filter for tracks 96-104 BPM AND 48-52 BPMs AND 192-208 BPMS (if any)

Note: not only does the Pitch difference provide the additional double & half BPM tracks, but it also keeps the percentage difference the same across all the filtered results.

Your color filters are good, in that priorities and ordering are good.

maybe a typo on 3rd BPM difference <8 ...... NEEDS SPACE I believe before the 8

I love the the "Pitch difference" .. (my new go to) and would use that, NOT "BPM difference".(unless that is what you wish)

As mentioned "Pitch difference" will filter ALSO for multiples of the loaded tracks BPM, AND keep the percentage difference the same, when locating those additional tracks. (keeping the Pitch difference the same for all the multiples)

"BPM difference" will NOT find tracks with multiple BPMs
