Topic: Can Color Rules contain verbs? Highlight all tracks released this year.
seanPRO InfinityMember since 2018
I wanted to set up a color rule that highlights any track that was released this year or last year. This work perfectly:
Year >= 2022

But of course I would need to update it every year, I tried to use a verb but noticed it didn't seem to work:
Year = get_date "%Y"

Just wanted to double check if there was a way to do this?

However days since first seen < 730 should most likely do the trick, no ?

Unfortunately this is not a true fix....this is looking at when VirtualDJ has first encountered the song in its browser. If you do a lot of backfilling of your collection (collection updates by adding songs that have a older date/year), they would show up too.

As @locodog mentioned...if the filters supported the full VDJScript, that may be the solution to the problem.

Ever thought about the following filter folder ?
Top 100 year
It gives you the 100 songs with the highest year ... so probably the current year ;-)

It is not exactly what you want ! But could be an acceptable workaround ?
