Topic: Pioneer DDJ1000 + Macbook Air M2 5012SSD, VDJ2023, problem with stops sound for a second...
Hallo Users!

I have a problem with my Pioneer DDJ1000 + Macbook Air M2 5012SSD(new) on VDJ2023.
After 2-3 hours of music playback, the sound stops for a few seconds and then continues.
Very disturbing at a wedding. In VDJ settings latency is 0 (maybe I should change it to 256/512?), sample rate 44100.
Mac is fully optimized for vdj2023. Previously on my windows notebook,(vdj2023) with the ddj 1000 had no such problem.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Latency zero is not good. Change it to 256/512 as a first step

As it turns out this issue only occurs on Mac, and turning off WIFI solves the problem.
However, I can't use TIDAL for the events I've prepaid for. :( If it can be fixed in VDJ it would be much appreciated! Many thanks!

Not sure how bad latency caused by WiFi drivers can be fixed in VDJ?

Is it related to the fact that there is only 8GB of ram in my macbook air? Does anyone get this issue with 16gb?

As previously stated 8gb isn't great when using stems but otherways should be fine.

Okay. However, I've used the Air M2 with 8GB ram ondemand stems2.0 for more than 15-20 events and it counts very fast, no latency errors, no hangs, so zero issues. I really love it! :)
Only sometimes it has this sound cutting when wifi is on, on the mac.
So I don't understand it... :(

the wifi driver is causing latency therefore causing issues pretty simple :-)

This is quite sad for such an expensive dj setup (ddj1000+mac m2)... :(
If anyone has any ideas for a solution, I'd be happy to "listen". Thanks in advance!

As I suggted in another thread try an external WiFi receiver with different drivers.
