I have a clap loop that I would like to trigger from any deck's pad (DDJ-1000) or Pioneer DDJ-XP2 pads and I would like this loop to sync with the track playing on the Master deck.
When I trigger this sample on the Master deck using this deck's pads, the clip is in sync.
When I trigger this sample from any other deck's pad, the clip is out of sync.
The official word is "You need to trigger the sample from the sampler directly in the side view in order to sync to the master deck." but I think this is a serious limitation - I want to use controller pads rather than mouse on my laptop.
Does anyone know how to configure the sampler loop so it's sync'ed from any deck?

a padpage sample pad call takes it's sync from the deck it was called from.
I wasn't a fan of that idea either. For me a sampler call shouldn't matter from where, it should always sync master.
So I did this
change your sampler padpage scripts from
sampler_pad 1
to
deck master sampler_pad 1
then it doesn't matter which deck the padpage is on.

Would you please share a little more detail on where to find these sampler padpage scripts.
I've searched my controller mapping, and the only place I've found sampler_pad1 is showing in the screenshot below, and it's mapped to pad 1.
This doesn't quite look like the script you're showing.
Do I need to create these scripts from scratch? or is this the right place?

erm, yeah. I got rid of the 'auto' for my own reasons.

This solution worked beautifully using either my controller or DDJ-XP2 pads any deck.
Should be the default for any samples configured to Sync-Start or Sync-Lock...
