Topic: i would love to see organize songs by release date for streaming services
this would be great for me as I don't download music anymore

The problem is that streamed tracks do not always have the year info embedded.

I find this a lot with Tidal. Many tracks just show zero as a year.

a automatic option for pulling the release dates from google
 
Have you tried VirtualDJ's internal Discogs interrogation? Can be done in batch mode, but, I don't subscribe to streaming services so can't test.

That may well fill in the blanks, but not necessarily correctly.

Just tested here, and e.g. a track from 1977 was incorrectly tagged as released in 2019...

that's not good for me .. is there a alternative
