Topic: Need ONNIT Script
I do not use a controller and Blocks 4 Deck skin. I would like to have all four decks set at 65% volume when I open VDJ. Can anyone help me with an onnit script?

Action for ONINIT kay ...
deck all volume 0.65
 
I already have deck 3 masterdeck. So, I entered deck 3 masterdeck & deck all volume 0.65 but the volume level bars remain at 100% upon opening VDJ.
 
you could try to add a wait to the beginning of your ONINIT, incase another script, or controller is setting the level faders.
(ie to set your 65% level, last) with:

wait 1000ms & deck 3 masterdeck & deck all volume 0.65
 
Thanks, but that did not work either. This is not a big deal. Since I do not have a controller, it is difficult to ride the gain on the computer. With 65% and the master gain at 100% and EQ10 enabled the output usually is good with very little adjustment. I can just set all the decks to 65% before I start the set.

Which skin are you using ? Have you tried to select the default skin and restart VDJ ?

I am using Blocks Skin. I tried performance default skin, still no luck.

Tried that too. Still no luck. Maybe it is something I am doing. I go to mapping and select oninit. I select custom mapping and then enter the script.
 
What if you select the factory default Mapping for Keyboard first, then add the action to the ONINIT key (will create a new Custom mapping), then restart VDJ ?
 
That worked! How I miss the analog years and the vacuum tubes of the 1950's. Thank you for your help.
 
If so, then your previous Custom Mapping must have some bug
 
Probably does have a bug because deck 3 is not automatically the master deck. I will live with this until I get up the courage to try and fix it...
