Just download and run the installer from here:

(the naming is still VDJ 2021, even if it has had updates in 2022. The name will not change to 2022, until its more a "new version" sort of features added. Just as with Office, Photoshop etc not changing name even if year changes, until significant update validates a name change)

If the message says that VDJ is already running then that's because............VDJ is already running.
You need to open Task Manager and check how many copies of VDJ are open. Sometimes it can be a large number. Shut them all down, then open VDJ again.

As I posted when VDJ 2021 came out, this was a bad idea to name it by year. Just revert back to 8.5 9.0 etc.
