I am trying to figure the correct settings for stems. I want VDJ to always compute the stems when the song is loaded and then either remove the stem file when the song is removed from the deck OR remove all stem files when shutting down the software.
What would be the recommended options for this behavior?

I don't think either of those options exist at present.
There's a command - Database - remove all precompued stem files. Can't find a direct command for it or you could set that to onexit.

Just the default will compute on load and not save any files, isn't that what you want then?

By mistake I chose to save prepared stems on over 30K songs. Is there any way to stop this ? I only want stems to be prepared when I load the song. Thanks in advance

Delete the tasks.xml file from the VDJ folder when the program is closed.
