Good day. Curious if there is a setting I need ti adjust in VDJ to communicate better with my rane 72mk2. The issue is, my gain and volume faders don’t change the volume in vdj. It does however, change on the output of the speakers. The meter in VDJ stay constant. Now, when I change the eq knobs, the volume meter changes. Without controlling the gain, some tracks will peak and sound distorted. Hope this makes sense. Thanks’

Thats because many such mixer setups are hardware based.
The mixing is done entirely in hardware, and any movement you see in the software are purely cosmetically. As visual feedbacks.. (if the mixer supports midi "feedback")
See bottom of page in the manual:

So you control the gain in hardware on the mixer exclusively..
You can set VirtualDJ output lower so you have more "headroom" to adjust on the mixer.
In VirtualDJ settings, set zeroDB to for example -3db
(and leave autogain on in software)
