Hi all
I have a denon MCX 8000 and when I broadcast live connecting to a server the output seems quiet. Any ideas?
Thanks
Jason

Yes the output (for recording or broadcasting) of the Denon units is quiet. They do it deliberately so as to provide recording headroom & prevent potential distortion.
They are IMO overly cautious though. The streaming audio signal from my Prime 4 is all the way down at -24dB. I've had to route the Denon through another audio interface to get a decent stream level.
I'm sure that the latest firmware for the MCX8000 has an adjustable USB audio level.

As stated, the level can be adjusted on the MCX8000

@Atomix, may I suggest we have a broadcast level control or setting for situations like this, where the manufacturer has deliberately lowered the record level signal?
That way we can compensate for this in VDJ rather than having to use another audio interface.
