Topic: How can I assign a different function to only 2/4 of my filter knobs?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

For some reason this controller that I got as a gift doesn't have a tempo slider, so I wanted to assign the pitch/tempo function to 2 of the filter knobs that are not currently in use. Is there any way to do that? Thanks. By the way, I'm using the pro version.

action_deck 3 ? deck 1 pitch : action_deck 4 ? deck 2 pitch : filter

@locodog for some reason one of the knobs is changing both tempos. Almost working though, thanks.

can't think that would be with the script I gave, maybe your setting
autoPitchLock
is set to true?

@locodog just a bug I'm guessing. Restarted and it worked fine. Thanks a bunch.

@locodog The pitch knob in the software is set to 0.1%, even though the controller knob is set to 0. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

not 100% sure, it's because the dial is only 7bit midi so it's not really accurate enough for pitch.
you could narrow your pitch range that might help

action_deck 3 ? deck 1 param_add -0.007874 & pitch : action_deck 4 ? deck 2 param_add -0.007874 & pitch : filter

that might do it, might need to tweak those adds to suit your range.
