They're not discounts on buying a new license. They're discounts on upgrades (if you already have a license).

I agree, but it's always a gesture on the part of the vdj group, instead of not offering its two proposals

SMH every dang year. its the same asked questions (any black friday deals on VDJ) how about you save up your $ and buy the dang thing....LOL
