Topic: Pioneer WASAPI Drivers...

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Is there a way to get the DDJ-SR2 to use WASAPI drivers? I have developed some cracks and pops using their ASIO drivers. If I could switch, I could determine if it is indeed the ASIO drivers, or something else.

Wasapi are Windows own drivers, comes as part of Windows.
So there is no download, just switch in sound settings

That being said, pop and crackles are usually happening when the audio buffer runs dry at the driver.
The fix is usually just setting the asio buffer to 256 or 512 samples, values that works for most ;-)

And if you need a really high buffer, you can check what prevents "real time" audio with these tools:

OK, so don't try to change the ASIO settings while you're playing. VDJ froze, but the music kept playing. Went to backup. Ctl>Alt>Delete out of VDJ, reboot, and go to audio settings and select the ASIO setup tab again, and VDJ just freezes. Tried several times, with the same results. So for some reason, I'm not able to adjust my ASIO settings. I will wait until I get home to see if I can fix this issue.

I don't have WASAPI options when connected to the SR2, unlike the Denon drivers when using the MC6000. Unless you mean using the laptop soundcard.
