Topic: To Manipulate Samples In A New Bank

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've downloaded some time ago the 'Dancehall' samples in to Virtual DJ.

I verified them and I only want to keep Sample 7.

I made a new bank: 'New Samples' to add Sample 7 and delete the other samples from 'Dancehall'.

In the finder menu I can locate a (DIN) Dancehall 1.zip file & an empty map: 'Recordings'.

EMPTY.

Also If I locate the same 'Recordings' map on my hard drive in Virtual DJ.
It is still empty.

I can only listen to the full 'Dancehall' set in Virtual DJ.
I can't move a sample to save it in a new bank to combine it with other samples from other .zip files.

I removed samples that are not relevant for me in the (DIN) 'Dancehall' 1 sample bank in my Virtual DJ.

The most effective method to get rid of unnecessary samples best thing is to download many packages so you have plenty.

Equality is here important.

To upgrade the tutorials also if you upgrade Virtual DJ.

Thx.

Not entirely sure what you did..

But best way would probably be to :
1) Unzip the sample bank you downloaded
2) delete the zip (optional)
3) The unzipped bank you can delete, edit, drop to new banks etc etc

(zipped banks are "protected" against edit, and "self-contained" within the zip, sort of..)

That should work all good :)
