Topic: Slow cover art load

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have noticed that my virtual DJ loads cover art slower than normal now.
Is there anything I can do or try to fix this.

I get instant cover art when loading a track to a deck (if that's what you mean).

when I low cover art into the decks that's fine
I'm talking about cover art in the browser area.

Well you should have stated that in the first post. We can't know what you're thinking!

Where in the browser area? Coverflow or album art column?

Sorry bro I wasn't trying to be funny or anything.
It's in the album art Column in the browser.
I forgot that there are so many different ways to show the album artwork.

they are loaded off your drive.
Maybe your drive has gotten slower, or having issues?

And how slow are you talking about ? Extreme or just slight?

And when slow, does it say "downloading covers" in the status area right above the browser? if so, covers dont exist yet, and are being downloaded before displayed :)

You may be right about my hard drive. I will run some tests when I get home. Thank you sir.

The hard drive checked out fine. On a scale of 1 - 10 10 being the slowest
they load about a 5. I believe I have download artwork turned off.
So this is still a puzzle to me.

external drive? that might go "sleep" and need to wake-up when you change browser view perhaps`?

At least the coverart seems pretty fast here. (sometimes a second delay tops)
