Topic: how to turn off song indicator on video window

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

i have the slideshow enabled which pulls up a pre made graphic which is fine, but it also overlays the songs playing on decks. i want to disable this . can anyone advise how?

i'll give that a whirl, but i was just checking out settings, and it shows that you should be able to toggle on/off the song info when broadcasting, but it doesn't seem to be working even though i turned it off. i'll keep poking around. thx for the tip

I think that just means sending the tag data to a server during audio broadcasts, nothing to do with videoskins.

hmm..i specifically don't want to show the song i'm playing when i'm broadcasting. can someone advise where i can turn this on/off? it just seemed to start by itself one day and i can't figure out how to turn it off.

If you're doing a video broadcast and it's on the screen, just turn off the videoskin (or use one that doesn't show that info).

the song display regardless of what is being used..doesn't matter if i turn off the video skin. this is weird.

@loco dog i tried setting that to "no" under broadcastsonginfo but it doesn't seem to be working.

Maybe you've got the 'title' video effect (overlay) enabled.

hey everyone - someone at VDJ sorted me out thx for your notes though. the fix was settings/interface, and then selecting "none" at the bottom.

Selecting 'none' at the bottom of settings/interface is turning off the videoskin.

Easiest way is just to right-click master video preview in skin ;-)
There you can check or un-check "use videoskin"...
