Topic: Re: Which controller do you use for Virtual DJ?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi, Which controller do you use for Virtual DJ and why? I am looking for a controller for Virtual DJ that is basically plug and play. Has a good quality build, so it will last a long time. And has quarter inch balanced master or booth outs. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks, Scott

Also, forgot to mention. I am also looking for a controller that is stable and reliable and I don't have to worry about it messing up or freezing up during the middle of my performance. Thanks, Scott

you'll get 10 posts with 20 opinions, go looking yourself, bring back your price range short list

In another thread, you seem to be looking at the PIONEER XDJ-XZ. If that has all or most of the functions you're looking for, why not go with that?

Because money haha :D

I have the DDJ-1000 (non-SRT, so that's the Rekordbox version) and i'm sooo happy with it!
It's amazing how well it works with VirtualDJ. Actually, aside from a few minor features and the better backspin handling in Rekordbox, i think the execution is vastly superior in VDJ compared to RB. The only thing you'll be missing on the 1000 is standalone and an effects section above the decks. That's it.
The jogwheels are outstanding, the mixer is great and handles software and hardware inputs and effects great, i just love everything about this and i haven't fully explored the potential of this thing.

I use a Denon Mc6000 Mk2. Wouldn't change it for anything. Size is perfect and it has 4 decks

I use a discontinued Vestax VCI-400. One day I might get a newer controller but nothing has surpassed this one yet. They are trying but not just yet.
