Topic: pirate copy problems

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

ok i just bought a mixtrack pro 3 and im using it with a dodgy version of vdj 8.

when i complete a transition from deck 1 to 2, the on-screen xfader decides to fade back in and out randomly, mucking the mix up.

is this *100%* a cracked software problem?

i do it as a hobby but will pay the £100 (not dollars) to register my controller on a legit version of the software.

will going legit, fix the problem i described?

if not i guess i will change to serato.

Sounds like 100‰ a knackered crossfader problem.

Installing cracked software is stupid but I guess you knew that already....

Agreed, sounds like a faulty or perhaps just dirty crossfader.

But using a pirated copy of Virtual DJ is never a good idea. They silently install all sorts of spyware along with the software itself.

In theory you could test the crossfader with Virtual DJ 2020 by downloading the software. You'll get a trial period to use the controller before it will request any payments.
At least that way you can pin point the fault.

FYI - the trial version will work in the same way as the paid version, but will stop working after a specified period.
