Topic: KeyCue - Latency in combination with Quantize

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi!

I do a lot of toneplays, previously I used an own script on my controller-pads which looked like this:
key +/-X & play_stutter
This script had no problems while performing.

Since the pad_pages were implemented I started using the KeyCue PadPage.
I experienced a lot of "glitching / sliding / latency" between the transponing of the notes.
It's like the Cue plays, but the tone of the note went only half the way it should have.
It just don't reaches it's final tone/frequency.

This does not happen every time, but nonetheless noticeably very often.
I also have noticed that it seems to be much stronger when the situation is like the following:
- QUANTIZE is turned ON
- globalQuantize is set to 1/4 beat.
- I roughly missed the grid ("roughly" in relation to globalQuantize) and quantize did it's thing to correct me...
(You can hear it on the clap in the example video) (Also this is why I tried to hit it wrong in the video)
(But of course that's why I want to leave Quantize on).

I uploaded a video to show this behavior:

I didn't press any buttons after the sliding of the tone became noticable.
It corrects itself, for whatever reason, after the loop repeats 1 to 3 times.
Maybe the Quantize of the Cue and the Quantize of the tone don't line up together, if you get what I mean.

It happens 3 times in this video... Every time on the last note.
1st at 0:09 min.
2nd at 0:27 min.
3rd at 0:33 min.
(CPU gets on its limits because of the OBS Software. But the sliding also happens with a low cpu usage)

Can the DEVs check this please?
