I can't seem to load WMA files onto the program. It recognises all the E-drive CD files perfectly, as well as any MP3 or WAV files i've got loaded onto the computer, but when i try to load any WMA files from "My Music", it finds the files, but when i try to drag them onto the deck, it won't.
What am i doing wrong? Please help, it's driving me mad!

Do you have Windows Media Player 9 installed on your computer? You need it in order to play WMA with VDJ.

Guys, I have recieved disturbing news:
According to the answer in this topic
(http://www.virtualdj.com/forum/display.html?topic=2540)
This feature (loading CD-tracks) only works in Windows XP and in Windows 2000.
I hope this is not true or I'll be really pissed off.

You might try moving them from the "my music" folder. To a seperate folder on the hard drive not contained within your windows directory.
just make a new folder... c:\music

It may have to do with either the sample rate of your wav... or the lenght.
are they 44,100?

DJ Rick.
Ok, I'll try that... But what about my CD tracks? Must I transfer all my music to my computer...?

No, the cd tracks should read straight off the CD.

Hi,
I've got a problem with audio CDs too, using the Virtual Dj -Dj Console Special Version 1.07b. I'm running it under WinXP Sp1 (my two CD drives have both CD-DA enabled).
I don't really get what's happening : when I drag a cd track over a desk, nothing happens : the track is not loaded, even if its name appears , the cd-rom drives don't even makes the cd spin... Weirder, if I right-click on the track and choose "listen" I hear it in my headphones.
With mp3 or wma files, it works fine, and the cd playback (using DJ Console as soundcard) is ok with other players, such as WMP or foobar.
If someone has a solution, a clue, anything, I would be very pleased.
Thanks.

Make sure you have the auto insert shut off for your CD rom, and make sure that no other program is trying to access it.
