Topic: Milk drop 64 Bit - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I know we have got shaders in the 64 bit version of VDJ.

But was wondering if Scott (SBDJ) has any plans on updating MILKDROP as I still find it more controllable than shaders.

The new version is brilliant, best VDJ has ever been!!!! Well done team!!!

AFAIK making milkdrop work in 64-bit is almost impossible. That's why it didn't existed until now, and I doubt if it's gonna happen.
(IIRC making milkdrop work in VirtualDJ 32-bit was already pushing the limits of milkdrop's wrapper too far)

Scott, that's is brilliant news, I would be more than happy to Test this out, in BETA.

I like the shaders, but Milkdrop is a bit more pleasing on the eye if I'm honest.

Also there website is disgraceful <> the bandwidth is terrible.

Anyways, thanks for letting me know!!, Also (pm) me if you need any beta testers, I would be more than happy to do this... Scott.

Thanks again

When it goes ready?
I wait so long for 64bit.
But I can ever use only the 32bit VDJ

It would be better to contact SBDJ via his website or social media I think. He's not here much these days.

Sorry, other stuff got in the way of this, but it's still very much on my radar. I'll try and get a beta build out in the near future.

Thank you.
I hope you will soon be able to design a 64 bit milkdrop.
Would handle a beta for starters.
Would be nice if you would send me one.
I sent you a request on Facebook because I don't know if you are active here.
Greetings Dani

Or you could use Shaders

oh dear g-d... please... shaders to be quite honest is crap.

Yes, it's better than nothing, but it's still crap.

[and yes I do use shaders in 64bit]

I don't understand how ore even why, but it is more resource-intensive than milkdrop is.

It doesn't sync up quite right on the audio. and there is a lot of just awful shaders out there.

It's much easier to just code up some .mlk files myself and go to town.
