Hi,

Very good idea. Same happens when a slideshow use a portrait photo , o any square size that doesn’t fill the widescreen ,

Now available in 4844 early access.
(No detection or removal of black bars that are encoded in the video yet though)

To use, install 'Blur Black Bars' from Config->Extensions->Video effects, then select and activate on each deck (not on the master)
Whenever you load a video with different aspect ratio from your output, blurred bars will be added.

Can you (someone) post some pics of how it looks?
 
 
I do think this should be added in the options tab tho under video.

Reason being, I don’t wanna have to activate this every time I open VDJ. I like set it and forget type things, lol!!
 
Yes, this is for testing, will probably add it as an extra option for letterboxing.
 
Works very well, the only thing is that i have the resetfxonload activated, so when a i load i new song it deactivates the blur,
