Every time I either decrease or increase the tempo/bpm of a track, The kick/beat sounds distorted and split and not tight like it is when played on its actual speed. Can this be corrected or controlled and the output be clear even though the tempo is varied?And how can I do a pitch lock?

What format is the file you're playing? If it's a compressed (lossy) format like MP3, what's the bit rate?
Where's it from? Did you rip it from CD or vinyl yourself? Did you buy it?
By how much are you changing the tempo?
