The words are appearing on the screen too late, so performers dont know what they should sing until right when they are supposed to sing it. Is there a way to change how words are displayed on the screen?

This will also affect music videos and such. Keep that in mind if you play those as well.
As far as the timing, it is supposed to change when they are supposed to be singing. It's more of a marker of where they are at in the song. The timing is not perfect for the lyrics.

If they are CDG with a matched mp3 should be perfect...If not may be a bug... If downloading lyrics as LRC I would not really expect them to sync to some mp3 and would need to be checked. In either case (and always the case), provide a sample so someone can look at it.. Quickest way.
