hey! is it possible to map custom buttons (keyboard, skin, controller) to custom add ons? how can this be achieved?

If I understand you correctly, the yes

Here is an example where an external third party addon - a vst effect - is added and controlled
The script used to control it can be used everywhere in VDJ (keyboard keys, pad page, controller mappings (buttons/knobs)
