Topic: Try to install virtual dj 2018 on Mac, install process seems to work, but can only see old version to open

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I have virtual dj 8 on my Mac and have license for 2018. I have downloaded Mac version of VDJ 2018 and tried to install it several times. Every time it seems to work. But it doesn't automatically launch new VDJ software and I cannot see it in my Apps.

I'm think I may need to remove vdi 8 off Mac, but I'm worried if I do, that I may get same issue and then have no VDJ software to use for my next gig. Please help. Thanks.

umm VDJ8 and VDJ 2018 do not install side by side 2018 will replace VDJ 8

have a look at the build on the options screen if you see B4592 that is VDJ 2018

I clicked on the update and everything crashed! I updated my Mac OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6, I restarted my Mac and now I am getting a pop up window (You can't open the application "Virtual DJ8" because it may be damaged or incomplete.
I will attempt to uninstall my desktop Version - then reinstall.
