I'm sorry bro, I'm am laughing so hard right now, I can't believe I didn't get that. Let me try this out, I'm working now and it just picked up.

at work not laughing. shouldn't have this much free time for testing new release on laptop but management has seriouslty screwed the pooch lately. almost tempted to put it on autopilot. almost. i still have some fractional bit of self-respect.

OK, on both of my machines I get this
so I am not sure they are supposed to be there. I have never used this pathway, so what do I know. I guess I should try it an see if I crash and burn with this crowd.

it should show same as website i think. on website milkdrop comes up. but if you click on effects and filter to visualisations its empty. not sure if bug or no. figured i'd let them know anyway just in case.

OK kids don't try this at home. I just used it to download a skin. When I select the extension window, my waveforms become jittery, both players playing video. Downloaded the skin, changed it and no problem. When I close the window, the waveforms become smooth again. I would not recommend anyone do this while playing, but I had a backup running and ready to go.

on a laptop or desktop? a dedicated desktop might be able to handle it. laptops probably not so much.

Laptop, I still have not rebuilt my desktop, lazy. I do miss the 27 inch screen. I'm on an ASUS i7, 16g ram, nVidia GTX970m card. My backup is an Surface Pro 3 i7.

Do these new visualisations not make Milkdrop kind of obsolete?

Posted Thu 07 Jun 18 @ 7:38 am
so far I prefer the Milkdrop to shader.

Yes they do.
But that's not a reason to prevent people who really want, from using it.
