Topic: Channel fader video

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi, I have searched the forum but I am not sure what I am really looking for so I thought I would just post and describe as best I can.

I would like the video of each channel to enable in the main screen when I move the channel fader, not the crossfader. I do a lot of karaoke and I always prep songs in the deck window before moving the cross fader over to enable it in the main screen but I would like this to happen when I move the channel fader up, not fade in and out, just enable and disable.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

This works when you dont use the crossfader or having it in the center.
you can see that you just search for volume.

Also, if you don't want any fading in video mixing (between the 2 tracks), then you could select the "None" Video Transition.

Thanks for your reply, video link is fine but I don’t want any fading on the video as I move the fader, I just want it to appear and disappear.

I tried to include this in the volume of the ddj-1000 map but it wouldn’t work.

level & level 100% ? video_level 100% : video_level 0%

Then I was going to change the % of volume to my liking.

Try ..
level & param_bigger 90% ? video_level 100% : video_level 0%
Change the 90% value to the one you want the video to "disappear"

Old thread, but if i do this on one pc ok, doing on another when fader is pulled back all way down the transition to other video never stops unless i actually stop play? Must be a setting i have on one pc but not the other?
