I'm using hotcues , all of a sudden it's on another action then my wheel just starts jumping all over ......music crazy jumping ...no control over anything,

but I've never seen that happen before. might try replacing USB cable and making sure something isn't wrong with controller.

I unplugged the Akai and plugged it back in and it was fine ....is it a new cable I need or is it maybe was just loose.

Well, I think that you should be able to answer that. Why not try a different cable and see. It may be the port on the controller, but I don't think anyone here can actually answer that question either. Do some testing, and get back to us.
