hi. I am new to 8.2 and not very experienced in 7
but in 7 on the flanger affect you have off in the middle and then could change the sound up and down from this by turning the know eather to the left or right.
on some mixes I used to be able to flanger one deck up and down
on the new 8.2 I cant seam to do this.
can any one help please

I tested flanger on v7, and when I use it, it doesn't start out at 12 o'clock and can go either way, like you describe it
Could it be that you mean the filter effect?
That works like you describe on v7, and also on v8
On v7 the Filter is visually placed in the effects section, whereas in v8 it's visually placed on each deck below the eq knobs, when the mixer pane is in front
