Topic: HELP!! Screen Freezing

When I type in the browser to search for a song. The screen freezes for a 1-5 seconds. Usually after I type the first letter. Sometimes the song skips after the screen start working again. It sucks when it happens during a gig
Does anyone know what would do this?
I'm wondering if it's my external hard drive

I'm using Windows 7.

Probably it is your external drive which went to "sleep" mode and needs time to wake up.

But that should not affect your sound in any way. It does not for me and my hard drive goes to sleep too.

Two things you could do:

1. Disable the "USB selective suspend" option in Power Options.



2. Use a tool such as "NoSleep HD" that will prevent your HDD from going into sleep mode.
