bought a new laptop and i have all my music files on an external drive that i want to copy to my new laptop hard drive.
The files are currently flagged as E: drive so when i copy them to the new laptop i am worried i will loose any tags i have.
do i have to rename the files before copying them into the new laptop?
Any help is appreciated.

Copy them over from within VDJ and it will keep the database info. How to do this is in the user manual.

I tried that but it didnt bring the bpm or any of my comments i added.
someone told me i had to rename the files or something.
