Topic: can't do anything with 8.2.

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I upgraded from 8.1 of which worked, to 8.2, and it opens fine, but if I click anything at all, VDJ is immediately unresponsive. If I click again, the interface goes dim, and gives me a "VDJ is no longer responding dialog, close, or wait" dialog.

I tried re installing 8.1, and even 8.0, but they do the same thing now. How do I recover from this? Where are the settings stored, as I think it's trying to update me to 8.2 again.

Documents\VirtualDj\settings.xml

Delete this file and try again

Thanks! I did, but no fix. I even did a complete uninstall, of which deleted the entire C:\Documents\VirtualDJ folder, but now when I launch 8.1, I don't even get the resource meter at the top of the interface. It's completely dead.

Sounds more like a graphics card or driver issue ...... especially if replacing 8.1 doesn't work either.

VDJ8 doesn't use registry so deleting the documents > virtualdj folder is pretty much it.

NVidia GTX 970 with current drivers.
There is nothing more?
Installing only 8.2 should not have broken everything for VDJ.

Did you update anything Apple related recently ? (like iTunes, iCloud, Bonjour Service e.t.c.) ?

Not since installing a working VDJ 8.1, no!
Should I?

I had an image of my SSD from before the 8.1 install. I recovered it, and installed VDJ again on it, but it still doesn't work.

I asked because of this:
LoadedModule[56]=C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour\mdnsNSP.dll
Anyway, please contact support http://www.virtualdj.com/contact/index.html for further assistance on this issue as it's not a common case.
