Topic: Disabling video visualization of a video file

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi,

I have some files that I would like to display the video content of that particular file.
Other than linking that file to the images/video file I want to be played, is there a way I can flag the video file to display the default videoAudioOnlyVisualization?

Do you want to replace the video on a desired track with a certain video each time or do you want it to cycle through different videos each time?
I believe you can change the video content in the video editor for each track in question.

I would like it it cycle through the videos in the Slideshow video folder under Video Effects. This is my videoAudioOnlyVisualization.

I wouldnt want to edit the video as mentioned on the question.

Try using the POI editor.
Create a marker only cue point at the beginning of the track.
Name it what you want.
Make it an action type.
Macro action:
video_fx "native_slideshow"

EDIT: It worked with Milkdrop8. It did not with slideshow.
It seems to work with some effects but not others. Someone more knowledgable may have to offer input. Maybe I just have a syntax error.
