Topic: Bug in new Controller Pioneer DDJ-SB2

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

The newly (yesterday?) released support for the Pioneer DDJ-SB2 seems to have a small bug: The vu-meter leds are not working.

For them to work, please add the following lines into the device file:
<bar cc="0x02" min="0x00" max="0x7F" name="CH_LEVEL_LEFT" channel="0" />
<bar cc="0x02" min="0x00" max="0x7F" name="CH_LEVEL_RIGHT" channel="1" />

and the following two lines into the map file:
<map value="CH_LEVEL_LEFT" action="deck 1 get_level" />
<map value="CH_LEVEL_RIGHT" action="deck 2 get_level" />

Thanks a lot!

VU Meter Leds are already available in the default definition. Those are named as VU_METER (deck dependent) and you should be available to map those as get_level.
The VU_METER Key was indeed not assigned in the default mapping file .
Fixed in builds ending at xxxx.1071

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a full mapping to Virtual DJ for the DDJ SB2? Including the FX - TransPad - and everything that it could work as it does for Serato?

I just returned my DDJ-sb2 as it was too difficult to setup. I also found out that it's not supported by vdj yet.

So much for plug and play.

I'm using version 7.4.6

It is supported by version 8.
