Topic: VDJ8 Windows 10 (Win10) Compatibility

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hey All,

Is VDJ8 officially 100% compatible with Windows 10? The main VDJ8 web site only recommends Windows 7 or Window 8.1... No mention that I could find on the web site and it's being launched in 2 days.

cheers,
J

So maybe come back in two days when it is officially lauchned :)

I can't say if it will "officially" supported by VDJ, but I and some others who already tried beta builds have no problem at all running VDJ 8 on Win 10.

good to know that it's been tested by users.

You should really worry for your device's drivers, and not the software.
When Windows 8 got released, VirtualDj worked perfectly with it. However it took up to several months for some companies to release new updated fully compatible drivers for their devices to work properly with the new OS.
Most likely this is going to be the case with Windows 10 as well ;)

Broadcast to Shoutcast (or icecast) seems not to work anymore... Can somebody confirm?
Broadcasting from Winamp still works.

Broadcasting solved by streaming to '127.0.0.1' instead of 'localhost'.
(Name resolution works fine on my Win10, the command 'ping localhost -4' results in 127.0.0.1)

I tried to open vdj8 on windows 10 and when it opens it says that vdj8 cannot initialize my pioneer wego3. What can I do about it?

Check the drivers for the controller are compatible with Windows 10
