I have MacBook Pro With Windows 7 64BIT + DDJ-SZ.
All Is Ok with VDJ 7 For Many Years.
Now
After Installing VDj8 I Have A few Serious Problems.
I Will Open A Topic For Each So It Will Be Easier To Solve :)

When I Configure VDJ8 Everything Seems To Comply To My Wishes But When I Close The Software It Forgets All The Settings I Configured...
Like Starting Folder, Effect Order, Slip Mode Etc...
I Checked Permissions All Full For The Folders In VDJ.
I Uninstalled Cleaned The Reg And Still The Same.
The Only Time It Will Save The Configuration Is If And When I Delete The settings.xml So It Will Save My Config Only Once With no Future Changes Possible.
The Same Is For effects.
I Configure Any Effect and it will remember my setting up until I close the program.
Anyone Can Give Me A Solution?

I Found That If I Disconnect the Controller (DDJ-SZ)
The Configuration is Being Saved...

So just to understand, if for example you add a Column (Field) in the Browser ..e.g. Comment, and then you close and relaunch, the extra field is not there ?
Or if you change skin, the same skin doesnt come back on relaunch ?
Or is there an issue with just some certain settings ?

didn't try the skit thing...
but if I add a Column or change any configuration ant then restart the program
then yes it doesn't save it.
if I disconnect the controller then all ok :)

Can you check if closing VirtualDJ with the DDJ-SZ connected, no virtualdj.exe appears as running in Windows Task Manager ?
Can you also make sure that the DDJ-SZ sound card is not the default sound card for Windows ?
One other thing.
enable the setting CreateMidiLog (from the Advanced Options) and do a launching cycle of VirtualDJ (close-open-close)
Post here the content of the Log Report.txt you will find in Documents/VirtualDJ folder

after updateting to the latest beta/
when loading a track the slip still stay on.
