Looks like I won't be keeping 7 around on the gig rig. Should I want to 'lift' or transfer the semi combined 7&8, what is relevant?
Or just do a clean 8 only install and bring what over? Besides skins and XML.
Would be good to eliminate any/all 7 baggage and plug-ins.

To be 100% save, I'd recommend a clean install of v8.

I have both 7 and 8 installed on my laptop gig rig and both coincide without any issues. Both have their own database. The only share seems to be the playlists. I have a C: drive where the apps are installed (this is where a few of the virtual folders are stored and the database settings, also the playlists are stored here). I have a D: drive and on the root of the D: drive is where the 7 database is, and in a folder called virtualdj is where the version 8 song database and the rest of the virtual folders are stored. I would not advise removing 7 as that can remove some elements of your version 8 (make sure you make a copy of your virtualdj folder (the one in "my documents") otherwise you could be in for a shock!
