video_fx_select crash Virtual DJ 8 if assigned to a Pioneer DDJ-SR knob and I rotate the knob to select the video effect.
I use latest version of Virtual DJ 8 and I'm on Windows 7 notebook.

VDJ7 effects seem to have a problem in VDJ8. You should read this thread here:

The above link has nothing to do with visualizations etc. although it starts out that way. TM and TV should not have any problem so I don't know what djmila is saying about that.
If none of the above, then you should try to give some more information if possible or try to narrow it down.

the SOUND INSURGENT
This has been a problem for as long as I can remember. Even with 7 I had this problem, if you scroll through the effects fast it'll crash.........hopefully this will get fixed one day.

With at least some of the VDJ7 effects running under VDJ8, it is not so much of a matter of scrolling thru them fast. Just having one selected and doing nothing else can be a problem. When an effect is selected or just made visible it is loaded and then unloaded when it goes out of scope. Scrolling thru them fast can also have a negative impact though and this should depend on the effect more than it would VDJ but who knows.
Best thing is to go thru the steps in the link above and you can determine it for yourself.
