Simply make a sidelist shortcut into automix mode.

There are times when a client wants specific music played at cocktail hour or dinner or any other part of the night and would like to make a sidelist shortcut into automix.

Please add that feature.

Maybe the action "switch_sidelist_playlist" is what you are looking for.

That doesn't switch a shortcut.

Turn a shortcut into automix. Can't explain it any simpler than that.

Are you looking to dump the sidelist into the automix list and start the list auto mixing all via a button or key?
Mapping the above script from PachN should move the list, then just add the starting of automix after that.
Or just open a saved playlist/smart folder, select the contents, and drag it into the automix.

Select all the tracks in the sidelist, drag them down to the button to switch to automix, hover there for a second = profit

it does in 2094

select the tracks in side list , drag down to the automix shortcut and hold it there for literally 1 second, it switches to automix, it also works for all the other shortcuts.

It works only when you select a few tracks... not the entire list. I tried it on Mac and PC.

Was it all of the tracks that were in your shortcut??I try to select all and drag to automix and they do not appear at all. I select all except for one and they appear minus the one i didn't select.

Am i the only one that thinks this is useful?

If it's that vital use the horizontal side list and bug report it what you've found

It seems it has to deal with file formats. I answered in your bug thread.

They're all mp3s.

Just to clarify what DJ Koz is asking for here:

In the normal folder view (the left side of the browser) you can right click on a folder and select 'Load in AutoMix'.

However, there is no such option for the folder shortcuts which can be added to the bottom of the sidelist. Ideally these shortcuts should behave exactly the same as normal folders, with a right click option to 'Load in AutoMix'.

Groovin...

From a shortcut sidelist you can drag the contents from it to the automix shortcut button and it should load the files into automix. It kinda works but not when you select all the files at once.

An option to load in to automix would be ideal.

When in automix mode, click the got on the right side, the drop menu appears, click save, thats how you save your playlist. VDJ8 did make things more complicated than 7. I had to ask tech support how to save a playlist.
