1. Will Virtual DJ 8 remember my cue points, tag editing and BPM edits from 7.4 if I upgrade?
2. Will 8 remember my shortcut keys on my laptop (Example: #1 Play Sample).
These are really the only things holding me back from VDJ 8. My cues, tags & BPMs would take months to re do seriously!

All of the above should be brought in fine. I would make a backup of your VDJ folder and your library files (which is something you should do regularly). After the back up, give it a try. You can have both installed at the same time.

Some script for mapping needs rewriting, which scripts you'll have to find out yourself.
Loop roll in V7 is now know as a loop in slip_mode
Sampler scripting has changed a bit
erm there might be other bits that I'm forgetting, but most of my mapping(s) worked without editing.
