I have the latest Betta Build.. 1960 beta .................. and the Sample Editor flashes open then closes when i try to open it and Edit a sample!

By any chance, are you trying to edit samples that were downloaded in a zip from the VDJ download area?
Apparently this behaviour is "by design", according to staff.

Yes.. i was trying to raise/lower the volume... but after those.. then all of my tracks, i can't edit them... I need to shut the program off then back on... Ill see how it is with the new beta build....

Unzip them into the sampler folder. Works normal after restarting VDJ. If the zips are still there, you will see two entries for the sampler pack. Just delete or move the zips after extraction.
