Hey there ...is there anybody experiencing this:
The pads on the sz are not lighting up while using VDJ8

This does not occur while using vdj7

Works fine here.
Keep in mind that the DDJ-SZ has Mac drivers, so make sure you have installed them correctly.
Try a different USB cable (or port)
Read the manual of the DDJ-SZ (UTILITIES), and change the mode to Serato (even if it should work in both modes)
Make sure you run the latest build
 
everything you mentioned was done.prior to my post , until i finally got it to work proparly by restoring to factory defaults and it works just fine.
