Just messing around with an "alienware m11x r1" with 64bit windows7 sp1.
I though I'd try running vdj8 on it, but it fails to initialise (not even a splash screen)
whereas.. the VDJ7.4 pro recently downloaded works perfectly first time!
Am I missing something? The vdj8 was downloaded at roughly 1800hrs UK time (23rd aug).

I have fixed this now ... I had to edit the BIOS to tell the system that the video is "switchable" rather than discreet.
Annoyingly though, the windows 7 64bit has now decided to disable the nvidia graphics so I now only have the intel graphics loaded.

further to my previous findings it appears that the r1 version of the alienware m11x has an issue with updated nvidia drivers and there is a technical work-around - but I find that I still have to go into device manager and disable the nvidia graphics before virtual dj will work.
