Topic: Using Headphones on a PC

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

As I'm usually always using a controller I have never had an issue with using my cans for cueing etc. But I'm putting together a mix on my main PC and do not have my controller with me. Is there a way to set up the audio setting so I can use the cans in this environment? I am using a four deck skin so apparently sandbox won't work ?

Sorry if this is a basic question but I've never had the need to do this before !

Many thanks

Depends on your soundcard. I mean, even if it's only a two channel it can work. It's all about the settings. What type of soundcard does it have?

You could use the stereo to mono splitter sound setup. That way you get the master to your left and the PFL to your right ear.
